Comedy, Music
Two opera-company promoters persuade a singing farm-girl, Judy Stevens, to pose as an opera singer. This arouses the ire of an easily-aroused opera singer who threatens to expose Judy as a fraud. So, Judy sings the opera in swing-time and yodels the high notes of the arias, all to rousing ovations and the opera company is saved from bankruptcy. (imdb)

Among the weaker Judy Canova comedies. A hick opera, of sorts, which milks the high-pitch opera gag to irritation. Some of the other comic stuff was also slightly off, but there were some terrific gags in there too. One can certainly enjoy this low brow affair, but Canova did make better films, though this was probable already passed her brief peak in movies.
