Kosashvili is a great director, and Knaz's text is as richly nuanced as it is dramatic. The large ensemble of different characters in the impaired fitness boot camp succeeds in capturing the zeitgeist for all its intricacy and avoids overstressing any single mood or idea. Not every scene is equally well executed, but the sum of the parts is riveting.
