Better than the last attempt. I'll give it that. So give them ten, fifteen more goes at it and eventually they'll get it right. Like when I'm playing the game.

Another failed videogame adaptation, Hitman: Agent 47 delivers bland, same-y, and choppy action, cold characters, poor plot, a complete lack of thrills, and a misunderstanding of the source material. Did we need another Hitman movie? Of course not. We didn't need a first one, either. They're both poor adaptations of a game franchise that deserves better, and the new one is another addition to an ever-growing list of bad adaptations of videogames.

Fuck the film makers for that complete shit "hey we're making a sequel" ending. You introduce one of the cooler moments in the movie and then cut away and expect us to pay for a sequel. It's disgusting. Besides that, the plot is pretty banal but it has a few fun moments and action scenes. Also has some really dumb ones. Another poor example of how to adapt a video game adaptation but I think this is a weird series to do that to anyway cuz of the freedom of the game, which movies can't achieve.

I imagine that it must be hard as hell to get funding for a video game movie, the track record is so insanely terrible that it should be like pitching a movie that glorifies Nazis to a Hasidic Jew. The original "Hitman" movie wasn't good, rebooting it eight years later with the same writer is just a bad move, casting a bunch of nobodies, worse move. but the execution...it really could have been a hell of a lot worse.

It moves away from the game and more towards a rather subdued sci-fi genre. Hitman is just hitman here, not the charming Timothy Olyphant Hitman. But, where is the thrill boy? Here, the plot is decent, the actions could be more realistic and shot in close ranges. Good cinematography is nice to have in an action movie, but considering the sentiment attached to Hitman, at least for us who played the game, filmmakers should take the realistic thrill element into account. And nobody sees Diana.

Beside being mediocre in every single way, the unforgivable sin is total disrespect for Agent 47's core principles and philosophy about rules of engagement. His modus operandi is quite clear: he would have killed only target either in his signature way or make it look like an accident, without being detected. This is serious disappointment and clear evidence that producers have not learned anything from previous debacle.

If you are up for the "game movie" and you didn't watch Johny Vick, go and watch it. If you already seen John Vick, watch it again. This isn't worth of your time. Everything sucks, story, dialogs, acting and the worst thing: action scenes suck big time. They traded good ol' shooting for car chases just because Audi was sponsor. Even product placement failed because it was too obvious. Crap, that's how I would call this movie.

Wow. I was really excited for Agent 47 as it looked promising. Sadly, the final product wound up being a dud. Poor acting and a script that acts like it was stitched together at the last minute. As an action movie it's the same shit that you've seen before. The CGI special effects are ugly and the thrills are few and far between. The plot with the female lead really detracted from the 47 character. Hitman: Agent 47 is a misfire and it's a damn shame. 2 STARS

Honestly, the first five minutes were pretty promising, but it just went right the hell downhill. It's like It Follows with an unfocused shitty plot and horrible actors whose parts were obviously meant for other people. Agent 47 is pretty remarkably worse than the original, all but in action, and that doesn't take the movie any farther in my eyes.

Not that bad. The story was good enough, but the quality of the action is spotty as hell. And Zachary Quinto should stick to rolls like Spock and the accountant in "Margin Call". He was either out of his range or was walking through it--distracting in any case.

I think it's supposed to be slick like the Daniel Craig Bond films (which aren't great, but still), but it is just lifeless. There isn't anything redeeming here except a bizarrely phoned in performance by Quinto.

Much better than that thing with Timothy Olyphant all those years ago, but Jesus Christ, guys--if you're gonna make a HITMAN movie, you need to FILL IT with wall-to-wall action and people getting shot and stuff exploding and gore and bullets to the head and boom! boom! boom! This thing's all plotty and sorta vaguely sci-fi-ish and NEEDED MORE ACTION. Watch a John Woo movie or two instead. Or else just play the frigging game.

Hitman: Agent 47 is further evidence to not judge a book by its cover. Shiny and choreographed, this action flick lacks substance, heart and humour, leaving an empty husk as the grave for my brain cells that died as I watched it.

The source material characterizes Agent 47 as a methodical, meticulous man who uses disguises to blend into any environment, and hides the bodies of his victims so well that nobody even knows a murder has taken place until 47 has long since left the scene. His most impressive kills are those which make a person's death look like an accident. But this film has no such elegance; it's akin to a b-movie adaptation of a mindless first-person shooter, using shaky cam to hide poor action choreography.

Pack that parade of pitiless pummeling into a Swiss cheese slice of a plotline and 47 ends up feeling like little more than a one-dimensional 90-minute ballet of splattering violence and foul language in which nothing makes much sense if you pause long enough to actually think beyond the killer choreography. So they decided to take another shot at Hitman ... with the same writer. Okay, it's slightly better than the first Hitman film they made. But only because of the action, which is actually pretty good. Sadly, the story is boring as hell, the writting is garbage, the performances are nothing special. This is pretty much a generic action flick, full of clichés and bullshit. Oh, and Agent 47 isn't even the main character of the film. Ugh. Strike two!

Dull. One of the most predictable screenplays I've encountered, and the fact the characters are all robots doesn't help matters much.

A decent action flick, albeit convoluted in the plot department, but definitely not as bad as I expected. I thought Rupert Friend was good as Agent 47; just the right level of cool distance. I also liked Hannah Ware as Katia. Zachary Quinto though... didn't buy him for a second.

If you like modern day action films this should definitely be a good view for you. The action scenes are well done and look real good as well. The character development is a bit weak, but doesn't really hurt the overall feel of a solid action flick.

I had to laugh at the one shot at a character development scene involving Agent 47. You can't blame the character, you can blame the guy attempting to pull some tension/ nostalgia from a clone programmed to not feel pain or realise any emotion. The film felt like a slick commercial for a multi-nat that plays at international hub airports. It knows it's audience is whoever is traipsing by, delusional from 13 hours of transit & has to appeal to them on a basic level, which, to its credit it does.

When it shuts up, it's pretty good - some pretty solid action beats in there, clear affection for the series in just how a lot of it is handled. But then it gets bogged down in plot and the plot is completely nonsensical and none of the actors can really find their way through the mess.

I actually enjoyed this movie a lot and felt the reviews were a bit too harsh on the movie. Unfortunately, what ruins it for me is that way too much gets left unexplained or unaddressed. A lot of details get glossed over and spending a bit of time on them could have actually made this movie more enjoyable.

Movie filled with a lot of plotholes. It was a standard action movie where the special effects sometimes felt really cheap. Some of the character development was OK, the acting was OK, and so was the soundtrack. The first scene's soundtrack was not really fitting though, and distracted me from the movie. Some of the scenes felt really cool. It did show a foreshadowing to a sequel which I disliked. One of the things that stood out was the cinematography which reminded me of German krimi's.

I gave it extra points for looking slick on blu ray. And it still got a 20. All of the action is of the good guy stays out in the open and does improbable maneuvers to look cool while not being shot at point blank range variety.

I need to respect that: Hitman: Agent 47 is much closer to the feel of the original video game. The Hitman (starring Timothy Olyphant) was more of a Bourne Identity type film; but it was better. The (Timothy Olyphant) Hitman charming, funny, and sexy. Hitman: Agent 47 was blah. No romantic interest, no witty banter, lots and lots of exposition about genetic engineering. Watch Timothy Olyphant's Hitman or play the game. Don't watch this.

Hitman: Agent 47 (2015) was not very good, was it? Rupert Friend felt so lightweight for the part of the assassin. And lightweight could be used to describe the rest of the production as well. There was a visual simpleness to the scenes with fancy tricks to cover up any cheap looking shots. But all this came across generic and with so few likable characters there is very little here to enjoy. They do try to make a engaging action movie, but it's mostly fail.
