Hold Your Man

Interesting in its way, especially for the depiction of the women's reformatory where Jean Harlow's character goes. Unfortunately the lesson of the movie seems to be that to hold your man you should put out and get pregnant?! Should have been titled Reform School Girl to reflect the trashiness of this story.

Gable & Harlow! 3rd of 5 movies together. And the first half of this movie was quite awesome. Harlow nailed it being a woman that's been around and tough as hell. The punch! Just fantastic giving it to the bitch! Gable too was having a fun time with his crooked smile. The second half of the movie sort of lost the great momentum the film had as the morals swept in. But it always had something happening, so it was never boring and I'll always remember the great scenes early on.
