the only saying goes that if you give a million monkeys a million typewriters, eventually you get Shakespeare. Hollywood is what you get if you give exactly one monkey a single typewriter. every scene feels like it's written to end with "and then the whole mall clapped." much like its inspiration, it can coast on confidence for a while, but by the end its sheer, overwhelming stupidity brings it down like the Titanic. perhaps the most unrealistic part is the lack of "cheese pizza" at the parties

What is merely mediocre pap for 6 episodes divebombs in Ep 7 into an offensively inane and childishly simplistic view of Golden Age Hollywood, which irresponsibly (and unintentionally?) suggests that marginalised folks should have just been more "loud and proud" to their critics - the worst sort of "woke" mindset which takes no consideration of historical mores and context. Largely worthless, but for McDermott's silver/slimy fox and a nice evocation of Hattie McDaniel by Queen Latifah. Blech!

Well made well acted show. However, the story is a fairytale full of half truths and complete nonsense apparently trying to paint Hollywood in a good light.

1930’lı yılların iki büyük kadın oyuncusu olan Bette Davis ve Joan Crawford arasındaki mücadeleyi konu alan Feud ile muhteşem bir dramaya imza atan Ryan Murphy şimdi de Netflix'e hazırladığı az gerçekli kurmaca mini dizi 'Hollywood' ile yine kendisine hayran bıraktı.

Lightweight, tawdry fun. The huge weakness is the writing, which never rises above mediocrity...it's like Harold-Robbins-ultra-lite. It looks great, if overly-glossy (shallowness intentionally implied); the costumes are gorgeous, and the architectural details inspire nostalgia. The actors do their best with the sappy, utterly unrealistic material. Watch "Scotty and the Secret History of Hollywood" if you want to know more about the actual gas station the Golden TIp (um, really??) was based on.
