Honey (1930)
The 1916 Alice Duer Miller play Come Out of the Kitchen, previously filmed in 1921 with Marguerite Clark, was expertly transformed into early musical Honey. The story takes place in a poverty-stricken Virginia household, where blue-blooded brother and sister Olivia and Charles Dangerfield (Nancy Carroll and Skeets Gallagher) are reduced to renting out their mansion. Part of the hype making Nancy Carroll everybody's screen Honey (1930). It's gonna take a lot better leading man then Stanley Smith to do that. No, the romance is wasted and the movie only lives on it's comic attributes, which was limited too, but at least with capable performers like Zasu Pitts, Mitzi Green & Richard 'Skeets' Gallagher doing their best on a lousy script.
