Breaking News! I've just received a communiqué from my 10-year old self addressed to all the haters of this movie. It's... apologies Ladies and Gentlemen the image is a little fuzzy... it appears to be... some sort of ... hand gesture... it's... Oh! We can't show that on TV!

Give me the messed up original draft of this where a kid gets maimed in a sprinkler. Yuzna, you know, for kids!

The effects are cool (for the time), but everything else is strictly middle-of-the-road Disney stuff. Tolerable but unremarkable.

Fun as long as you don't allow yourself to get caught up on the patently wrong pseudo-science. Otherwise, it's actually very well made.

Another mini-classic from Joe Johnston. Obviously, the special effects rule the film, but man, they're so damn cool! It's a little tacky at times, but it's one of the few live-action Disney films that really brings the magic.

This is a fun family film with great special effects for the time period. The cast does a good job, Rick Moranis is great as the dad of the family. Overall I would recommend this film.

Kids feel insignificant, let's make a movie where they're as small as they feel. It's actually not so bad, but it gets old and frankly it's a kids movie and it shows.

There is a lot of nostalgia for this film. They did a lot of things really well. But the effects are dated, and the kid actors all kinda suck. Rick Moranis is gold, though. I hate to say this, but this concept could definitely be explored again in a remake There is potential to explore here for a new generation of kids as the audience, with updated effects and maybe better acting.

Yeah, it's kind of stupid. But from experience as a former kid, I can tell you that kids under 10 WILL have a good time. Fact. It's a fantasy we've all wondered about and the special effects and sets and animatronics do a cheesy but entertaining job bringing it to life.

I have good memories of this movie. It gets this score because I supposed it had my age at the time as a target, and it was a great movie to watch. However, it is a bit stupid, full of cliches and spawned terrible, terrible sequels.

Fact: Rick Moranis made so much money from this series, that he has effectively retired, which is why he is the only castmember of Ghostbusters that didn't provide vocals for the videogame for XBox, and will not appear is Ghostbusters 3. Fact: Ghostbusters was at least 10 times better than this movie, which was the best of the series.
