Why they don't just make a fifteen minute movie with a kinda cool dance sequence in it and spare us the rest...I just don't know.

All these points for Alba's looks. Movie is really really horrible.

To be honest, I only rented this because Jessica Alba was in it. Alba's dancing in skimpy clothing was the best part of the movie, if not the only good part at all. So, I guess you could say I got what I was expecting out of this movie.

If I were to tell you that Jessica Alba works as a dance instructor in a neighborhood center, she discovers Lil' Romeo and his friends break-dancing in the streets, city inspectors shut down the center because of leaks and unsafe construction, and there is an empty church nearby that could be borrowed for an evening, what would you say the chances are that Alba will hit on the nation of using the old church to put on a show with the kids, to raise money for the community center?

I rented this movie from blockbuster and ended up fastforwarding through it. The dialogue is awful, the plot predictable, and the dancing isn't even good! If you want a good dance movie, check out Save the Last Dance. Heck, even Step Up had better dancing than this movie. Not worth watching, even on tv.

Standard "Triumph against adversity" movie. But if you want to see Alba dancing to hip hop then this is the movie for you

There's not much I ask from dance movies: just a tiny bit of entertainment. And a little touch of mediocre choreography. It seems that my criteria is a way too high.

Rubbish, although 'learning dance moves from the streets' montage is pretty hilarious. Best enjoyed ironically.

This movie takes a lot of flack, but it's honestly not bad. Another script draft, or one less knowing the way studios work, to patch up the rough parts and this could have been a damned fine flick. As it stands its better than most of the "dancicals" out there

Bad movie, bad dances, jessica alba is is not dance good, she is not have some hot scenes and not acting good too.. All movie is pointless except the ending.

This is certainly one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It doesn't really have a clear tension or obstacles; there's no clear image of character goals. And all the dialog is forced. Every statement is blotted out like a sequence or words not a piece of dialog. Acting is limited to smiling or frowning, though most of the time looking the camera suffices. It's despicable.
