Honor Among Thieves

Strange heist flick that's very much a product of the sixties. There's something odd about this movie that I can't put my finger on, but it's definitely watchable thanks in no large part to Bronson and Alain Delon.

Very disappointing. Someone massacred the film in the editing room, the audio is cranky and weird, and it is dreadfully boring. None of that is justified by the age; I've seen films from the 1940s that would annihilate this movie any day.

My main issue is that it felt like it could be more. It could have been tighter, with better actresses. The claustrophobic scenes could have been more claustrophobic and less static, and really use the near liminal side of empty basement buildings to add to the unease. The police scenes could have been more tense too. It is good but it felt like one could imagine it better. Delon and Bronson were good at least, a lot rested on that

Extremely watchable, "Honor Among Thieves" features a perfect protagonistic duo in Alain Delon and Charles Bronson, a well-written script, engaging dialogue, tight direction and some truly classic scenes.

Nice to see Bronson and Delon together in a quality 60's French crime flick. It sure takes it's time with the vault scenes, and could have benefited from ~10 mins shorter run time. It's still yet another small gem in Bronson's filmography.
