Hot Curves

Pretty poor baseball comedy. Besides it having all the faults of any early talkie, along with a limited budget. This also had mostly cringeworthy comedy and hardly even a mildly amusing line. Benny Rubin was just horrible in this one and his girlfriend Pert Kelton even worse. Only saviors was Mary Carr as old grandma in a non-comic role and Natalie Moorhead as the gold digger. The rest was forgettable with the standard story of Rex Lease a star player being taken for a ride.
