Porn documentaries are pretty much all the same thing. An endless stream of selfish, vapid girls dive headfirst into the meat grinder in the pursuit of their own slice of empty fame culture. They party, live in squalor and get treated like mindless fuckdolls for a few months before they realize that what everyone outside of the porn world has been telling them is true. But by the time they quit, three more entitled teens have reared up to take their place, like the heads of a hydra. *shrugs*

Some very entitled, very stupid people sign up for porn and find out that it is in fact -- wait for it -- a very emotionally empty lifestyle that leaves women used up and mentally scarred. Like, whoa.

Talk about a film with a preconceived agenda. I honestly don't even think it's fair that films like these should even be able to use the label "documentary". They are the equivalent of a Buzzfeed op-ed combined with the editing power of MTV's The Real World. There is nothing here that feels it wasn't forced and offers no real objective perspective. The film wants to portray women being exploited, and even with that goal pre-set it still fails to prove its point.

Nothing new is added here that we don't already know about pornography. Everyone already knows that it leads to a shitty, empty life. Really enjoyed Tressa's boyfriend as you could tell how pathetic he was but is so ball-less that watching him try to tell her what to do was just perfect theater. More betas please. It's crazy that people will ruin their lives for a couple hundred bucks. Good job feminism, keep it up. You're really empowering women!

Any thoughtfulness or introspection were thrown out by a lot of decisions made, or by trying to force themes that never actually surfaced. I cannot tell which. First half is how 18 year old girls are the most selfish beings on earth, the 2nd half is girls complaining about getting exactly what they knew they were going to get. This could have been really deep or revealing but instead we're left with something exposing other points than intended.

Worth it to see entitled brats seeking easy money to support their vapid lifestyles getting crushed by the industry.

Self-centered girls get into trouble by being stupid. After a bit, we are suppose to feel sorry for them. No.

This was ok. It does seem to lack objectivity though which means it had to reign in it's message a little or the bias on display would have been too obvious. I'd give this documentary on porn 1 boob out of 2.

I'm confused. Is this the infamous third wave feminism?

Listen, I've seen the pornstars with/without makeup posts online... this definitely skimmed over a significant amount of meth/coke/heroin/everything abuse. Also, it seemed pretty obvious. I'd be much more interested in the money side of things cause I'm pretty sure there's some way deeper shady shit going on there.

Kind of hard to take a documentary about 'sleazy men exploiting young girls in porn' serious when the documentary itself seems to exploit the girls for their own agenda more.

I knew a prostitute once, and hers was a similar story. She got into it for easy money, to solve some problems she had in life, and the experience left her scarred. Watching this movie, these girls, how they try to rationalize their situation, felt familiar to that girl I knew. This movie might seem extremely manipulative, but I don't think it really is. I think it's legit enough. I'm also guessing a few of the angrier reviewers here are pissed cause this movie ruined their hand-time fantasies.

I feel like this documentary tries to raise some sympathy for these girls, but it fails because they are exactly as foolish and empty as you might expect. At first they act all happy with their new found money and short-lived fame, but soon they become miserable from all the random face-fucking. What did you expect? The founder of Hussie Models is a real boss though.

This doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of the seedy doings of "amateur" porn.

Hints at a bigger picture of whys and wheretos only makes it more frustrating that it sticks with a simple "Amateur porn is just like prostitution and there's no reason you can't just walk away unscathed" moral that comes across almost as manipulative as the promises made by the porn producers.

A look at the modern porn industry, and the seemingly endless stream of teenage girls who it as an opportunity to live a high life. What can I say, people are weird. It was fairly interesting, but not exactly illuminating.

A sad documentary about how people take advantage of other people using their ignorance and naiveness. The interviews and insights are quite good, but the documentary just stays as a witness with a strong moral stand, probably it would've benefit from another point of view from for example a consolidated pornstar and some history about how the industry has come to this point and the legislation in which is working. Overall a decent documentary if your are interested in this topic.

A tonally incompetent film that nevertheless gets some of its points across - probably because it would be impossible not to. A behind-the-scenes look at the amateur porn industry, but not exactly the warning sign it wished it was.

You really wish it could have ended up being more. You learn a little but not a lot, and you still come away feeling something (no not that). So I guess it's not terrible, but it's far from great either.

Entertaining but didn't aim to show anything other than the obvious. Ironically, it was promoting the porn stars just as much as it was trying to make the porn industry look negative.

An important and balanced viewpoint that's too breezy to be great. The central characters could've used some more background; their motivations and decisions are clear, but some of the key underpinnings there are missed entirely -- the drama inherent in the performers telling their parents what they do happened offscreen, and given the gravity of it, that's a shame.

Interesting subject, interesting views, but too judgmental in its way. I like to make up my own mind about the shown topics which was hard with this one...

I thought this documentary was incredibly moving and emotionally powerful. Really sickening stuff is shown here, but fortunetaly there are also some beautiful and hopeful moments, mostly coming from the girls themselves. This film acts mostly as a silent observer and since most people probably already made up their minds about the subject, people criticize it for not being informative. I disagree and applaud it for giving this unrelenting and honest portrayal of something that is still a taboo.
