Documentaristic subject picture about a worker's hostel. An old worker is suspected with stealing a motor, he's been fired from the factory and he has to leave the hostel. First he offends and attacks all of his roommates, then he starts to cry and tells that he was a pilot in WWII and he's left his soul there. An interesting portrait of human reactions and changing emotions. (Cinema of the Worlds)

Not much here, except for some great acting. It's shocking how little sense of physical space there is in this, since Tarr went on to become a master at evoking depth.

actually a pretty good short following a heated argument as an old man gets kicked out of his hostel. it's social realism with excellent acting, which makes tarr's first film really quite different to those i've seen from him so far.

A quick slice of life. It's not very well shot, but it showcases very authentic human behavior. A peculiar, but oddly appropriate, way for Tarr to begin his brilliant career.
