House by the Lake

Passable horror/thriller is too brief and superficial to develop it's many red herrings (including a subplot alluding to child abuse, always fraught in trashy films like this). But for a clearly shoe-string production, it does rate as a moderate success, with Gierasch staging some jump scare moments competently enough, and eliciting fair to decent performances from his small cast. Hopefully a stepping stone to better things for all concerned!
