A comical and touching story of a man looking back at his childhood in 1970s Greenwich Village. HOD was an admirable effort by Duchovny who wrote and directed. Good performances by Badu and Leoni. Robin Williams' performance was a disappointment. Anton Yelchin's performance pretty good.

Word of warning: this a documentary of Jack Black and Kyle Gass living in a house together.

This kept reminding me of "A Christmas Story", and that's NOT a good thing. Both are nostalgic to the point of nausea. David Duchovny, I found nothing in your previous work to suggest you were so fond of sappiness... such a pity.

I loved this film - it really appealed to me. It was sad and amusing in different parts and I felt it was a surprisingly memorable film. It may not appeal to all but I thought it was touching and I would recommend it.
