Really touching set of portraits of people from all walks of life. Beautifully lit and slow burning (in the best possible way). Lush National Geographic style vistas (colour saturation is really punched up) give respite from the stark style of the film, and are almost too painterly and beautiful to be credible. Big thumbs up for the interplay of confessional monologues.

Spectacular! The only thing I would change is cut a couple of the talking heads and put in a bit more nature photography. Regardless it is completely gripping, engaging, wonderful and great for well over 3 hours.

Who gives a director the audacity to go to these places and shoot them like he has the right to invade in every "third world" life? I recommend documentary directors to read more anthropology.

What is the meaning of life?

I really appreciate the intention of this film. However I was quite bored. Some fascinating shots of crowds of people or landscapes, but overall these shots felt unnecessary. The stories told by people also weren't always very interesting to me, only a few of them were.

Encara que sigui tan tràgica però alhora positiva -amor tota l'estona i coses que es valoren i que tenen sentit- em sembla que és un punt de vista que va bé tenir present molt sovint. Potser enlloc d'intentar emocionar podria intentar descriure més; és artificiós? la vida no és així? no va acompanyada de música tràgica, però pot veure's la vida així, i fer-ho ens fa bé o mal?

Heartbreaking, funny, depressing, draining and beautiful. Also, really long.

Amayzing Eye-catching Film!!!

This is mostly clips of people from all over the world talking directly to the camera about some of the most important things in life ... love, marriage, war, poverty and the meaning of life. At 3 hours, it definitely runs too long and some of the more compelling stories get swallowed up by the gargantuan scale of it all, but it achieves what "Home" did not ... it forges a deep personal connection and gives invaluable insight into how the rest of the world lives.

It was wrong of me to expect anything else then a endless string of humans when exploring Human (2015). Focuses exclusively on the beautiful side of human suffering, which makes sort of superficial and only half-human ignoring the ugly side. Has good intentions, stays positive and display some stunning visuals in between the countless fragments of humanity, but I found it difficult to connect when all it came across as was a infomercial for any charity organization.
