Hurricane

A budget look at the Polish fighter pilots who worked with the RAF to fight the Nazis, Hurricane is a serviceable if unremarkable effort which could almost define the term take-it-or-leave-it. For while the performances are a notch above what you might be expecting and everything trots along at a decent pace; the limited funding can be seen in the shoddy dogfighting scenes, and the story of these airmen jumps around a little too much to get enough out of the experience historically.

This kind of history is important to know and remember. That being said there are better sources to learn about this once you've watched the film. The Poles, and numerous other nations including Canada, came to the aid of the British when they needed it most.

Relatively poor. Starting with what appears to be an important tale from WWII that I had never heard of previously, Hurricane had decent potential. However an obviously low budget and poor direction results in an effort where many character story arcs are unsatisfactory and what should be dramatic moments aren't set up properly or presented in cliché fashion so they lack impact. The acting and FX also swing from being surprisingly good at times to TV movie bad at others, but mostly the latter.
