The execution of the story feels too raw and unpolished which is a shame, as the acting performances deserved better.

Susan Hayward as a fashion designer who will do anything to succeed. And wrapped around her leash is Dan Dailey, along while trying to hook the big fish George Sanders. Strong character for Hayward, even if the plot was more tuned for a lighter affair. Both Dailey and Sanders are likable, but Hayward is more complicated. A go getter, and fairly bitter one at that. And it made the whole thing that much better.
