A decent if overtly-predictable cop drama. There is no doubt its editorial and visual pinache are pulled directly from Scorsese's bag-o-tricks, and probably due to this exuberance, can also be read as a dark comedy, bordering on satire. Flirting Scholar does come to mind when the main character introduces an upteen number of brides.
