I Don't Just Want You to Love Me

I was hoping for a bit more personal insight... still, the subject is so compelling that even the German penchant for over-analysis and finding symbolism absolutely everywhere couldn't kill it.

Not a documentary, as now unfortunately often is the case, merely having those who knew him circlejerk about his greatness. Instead, we see the darkness in Fassbinder, the intensity of his inner turmoil, and how this relates to what makes him great.
