Second verse is different from the first but damned if it doesn't play out every single beat again. I didn't really like any of the characters except the hamster, which is only the third or fourth time I've had to write that exact sequence of words.

This movie surprised me It took me on this strange wonderful wacky " Who Done It? " ride Every time I thought I had it figured out it turned I was wrong A very enjoyable way to spend some time

The first act is truly engaging. The second act starts to lose traction, and the third act drops the ball. Also, this is by no means a horror movie, it's a thriller. Are they just putting this tag on every movie with a murder in it nowadays?

I disliked the found footage aspects of the story, and the shaky camera didn't help either. It feels like a college production with amateur actors and writers. I did not find it particularly entertaining and entirely disliked how the characters were written. Performances were good efforts, but failed to convince. Just about every scene felt forced and unnatural. It is not all bad, but I certainly would never sit through a second viewing.

I'm mad at the beginning when the kid is ripped from his bike because it makes no sense once everything is revealed. It's just a trick, not storytelling. Correct me if I'm wrong there. I was into this for the first act while viewing it, it was ominous and interesting, then they killed all suspense with annoying dinks taking over in the second act. The third act is pretty good though, I liked the twist at the very end. Very uneven movie. Not recommending this because again, fuck that beginning.

I'm really surprised by how much I liked it, despite the fact that the Mom never closes her mouth.

A slightly unusual non-linear approach helps to make this interesting, but, in the end, it’s all just to serve the usual message: pedophiles stalk the land causing long-lasting trauma and the only justice is for their victims to murder them, preferably brutally. If that’s the news you’re looking to hear, then by all means… Helen Hunt’s appearance (in a role for which she is in any case too old) is disconcertingly non-human.

Oscar ödüllü oyuncu Helen Hunt'tan gerilim filmi. Psikolog anne, polis baba ve sorunlu genç oğlan, evlerinde tuhaf durumlar yaşar. Aynı zamanda, ormanda 1 çocuk kaybolur. İki ayrı konuyu çok iyi ustalıkla anlatan film, kırılma noktasından sonra farklı 1 yöne kayıyor. Filmde her yönden bakış açısıyla izliyoruz. Filmin sonunda, çocuk kaçıranlar ortaya çıkıyor. Helen Hunt'un yüzü ne olmuş öyle? Korku filmi gibi.

It's almost touching how hard this movie tries to be clever, despite being such tedious garbage.

Copped the mystery halfway but thrilling nonetheless, including one moment that made me gasp audibly. Cool music. Tends toward overexplanation.

Unpopular opinion, but the first act is the weakest part of the movie. The usual mysterious things happening at home and no one knows why. Only the acting is able to make the first act decent. Both twists were pretty interesting, and the second was genuinely pretty surprising. It’s also cool to see Devon Graye branching out by writing instead of acting. I’ll be sure to check out his future projects for sure.

It's generally a decent twist on the haunted house thriller, marred by a few suspect choices.

Has any movie realised what's going on so long after the audience as this one?

Not the most complicated mystery in the long run but the way they tell it was certainly unique and very compelling. Could have done with a bit more personality from most of our characters and a bit more build up before we start getting into the reveals, but for what it is, I definitely consider this an effective thriller.

Spoilers: Black Christmas, 1974 taken to max. and interwoven with some complex story. Satisfying finish.

Clever girl. The first twenty minutes do give off a horror vibe, but the drama playing out around it makes for a strange, but welcome and mysterious, tone. I like the perspective change halfway through, and the twists are well handled.

I can see how one gets the idea for this movie, by asking "what if the classic haunted house turns out to be actually inhabited by real people that hide out in the attic and haunt the house"? A fun hook leading to an entertaining watch, helped by fine performances especially from Teague
