Feels definitely like something Hitchcock would do. The thing that holds this back is that the suspense doesn't quite grow in the same way as a Hitchcock original. Frank Launder does a better job at the cuter stuff, truly effective with the way he used Deborah Kerr, both in the romance department and as a IRA wannabe. For the most part I was very entertained by I See a Dark Stranger (1946), but in a way it also drifted a bit too long, assisted by the excitement not really creeping in there.
