I Shot Billy the Kid

Understand it's a small budget adaptation of the Pat Garrett/Billy the Kid story, so everything is less than you'd hope it to be. Don Barry comes off as some demented James Cagney in his portrayal of Billy the Kid. I would say he was laying it on a little too thick. It was almost too obvious who he was mimicking. Robert Lowery attempt at Garrett was unfortunately bland. And the choice of narrative didn't do much to enhance this legendary story. Still, was enjoying the effort on some level.
