This gay mumblecore movie suffers from the same assumptions that the straight ones do: Why should anyone find these singularly ordinary characters fascinating when they open their mouths and why are they even friends? I guess because they all live in San Francisco? Despite the non-simulated Shortbus-y sex, I wasn't stimulated, but mildly repulsed, not because the men weren't attractive to me - some were - but because they were all so self-absorbed.
