I Was a Teenage Werewolf

Teen Wolf without a Cause.

As ultra low budget B movies go it's not that bad; like a James Dean movie with a supernatural twist. So the script makes our hero completely unlikable, so the werewolf costume is ridiculous, so the mad scientist's plan makes no sense... But there's something there that rings truer than it has any need to.

So why did the guy turn into a werewolf? Apparently If a man regresses to their primitive form they will also become part of a completely different species.

Make your protagonist a whiny abusive asshole, so when he meets an unfortunate and tragic end the crowd lets out a smattering of "...eh"'s. At least depressing dad is his usual inspiring self.

A campy romp with plenty of high school drama and off-screen brutal slayings.

One of the most generic B-movies imaginable. Quickly forgettable.

The plot is really simple and underdeveloped. It's not bad, it's not good, it's just a big pile of meh made slightly good by a few creative touches and slightly bad by a plodding need to hit a 70 minute runtime. The production values are pretty average for a B-movie, and performances are passable. I'll probably forget this in a day or two.

Landon makes a memorable screen debut. Bissell again proves aces as the authority-figure villain.

If you watch Thriller you'll get the rough idea ... and save 70 minutes too !!

Hilarious farrago with a title which achieved a splendour of its own.

Goofy drive in fun that they don't make any more. Imagine if someone remade this, the potential is there for sure.

Definitely one of the better mst3k movies.

Pretty gay overall, but the MST3K was good

Michael Landon (in his screen debut) is a teenager with SERIOUS anger issues. He's sent to see Whit Bissell, who is supposed to set him straight, but instead turns him into a werewolf. The first part of this flick is kind of fun, with Landon EXPLODING at the slightest provocation, but one he becomes the werewolf, it's pedestrian and dull. Ken Miller stops the film to sing "Eeny Meeny Miney Moe", which was the first occurrence of a rock & roll song in a horror movie.
