I Was a Teenage Zombie

Definitely not everyone’s style but I love the entire low budget nearly SOV style aesthetics. Just really feels like a bunch of people having fun and truly getting to explore the world effects without even having to worry about scares or characters or plots. it’s just dudes getting their faces ripped off mixed with off kilter humour. The power for any shmuck to make a movie and we are probably better for it. Im sure these guys involved would be shocked people were even thinking about them

One of those low budget horror flicks that just has the vibes down. Everything from the violence to the poorly painted zombie characters just gives everything this wonderful off kilter feel.

There’s nothing worse than filler in low budget movies. Total slog. Should’ve copied the run time of 50s creature features, baby I can handle 70ish minutes if there’s an awesome face ripping near the end. 90 is torture.

Way funnier and entertaining than most dweebs on the internet are willing to admit. What it lacks in technical prowess it makes up for with a fun, screwball vibe, some dialogue exchanges that are actually pretty clever, good camera work, decent soundtrack. There's a rape scene of questionable taste but the overall absurdity in the movie eases any offensiveness.

The little details make this a riot - Mussolini's flag lapel pin, that Violent Femmes montage, etc.

Absurdly bad micro budget comedy/horror flick about some high school dudes who intentionally turn one of their friends into a zombie to fight an evil zombie gangster who is stalking them. Technically a total disaster, with choppy editing, horrid sounding overdubs and no real attempt at continuity. That's not to mention the amateur acting and wretched attempts at humor. There's one good bit where a fat guy gets his face ripped off, but it's not worth watching just for that.
