“It’s classified Ice Cream Man, it’s classified.” There’s a kid named Tuna and a Macaulay Culkin knockoff (not Kieran). I have nothing My Brain is mush I willingly just watched a Clint Howard vehicle. Wait was this some commentary on how institutions don’t work and lol the directors filmography is all smut.

Take this movie for what it is ....A silly B- movie and you might have some fun with it Surprisingly Clint Howard is pretty decent in this movie along with a cast of "All Star" B- actors Just silly cheesy horror comedy

Cheesy as hell. Bad...everything. Yet bad in a funny sort of way. Great late-night-when-you-can't-sleep-but-too-tired-to-care-what-you-watch flick. I guess that's why I only ever see it televised on cable at 2am.

The biggest problem with this movie is that it doesn't know what it wants to be. Is it Monster Squad or is it Dr. Giggles? The answer is neither as it fails at both. Clint Howard is over the top wacky which was fun, Olivia Hussey was still weirdly gorgeous which was fun and Jan-Michael Vincent well Jan-Michael Vincent just looked drunk as fuck the whole time.

You know you are in trouble when the first name that appears on the screen is CLINT HOWARD. That's right, Clint is the titular character: we find out early that someone injected green goo into his head and within the first 15 minutes that he is in fact the killer. Kids get a lot of screen time in this, but strangely none of them bugged me. When it comes down to it, I think I kinda enjoyed this.

So terrible. So very, very terrible. I can honestly say there's not one convincing acting moment in the entire film, although Clint Howard's acting is hilariously bad. The script is terrible. The story is mind bendingly terrible. The music is straight out of an 80's pornographic film (aka. terrible). The production values and special effects are terrible. The only redeeming quality is that it's occasionally so bad it's funny (mostly it's just so bad it's bad though).

Veteran screen geek Howard lands a showcase role as a sort of Bad Humor man. Alas, a tasty concept -- a fright fable based on kids' natural paranoia re their local ice cream vendor -- quickly turns sour in what degenerates into an aimless parade of B-star cameos. Howard, replete with outsized orthodontic prosthetics, tackles his role with obvious relish, but the pic, like _Monster Squad_ and _Parents_, lacks the wit and focus to put it over as a dark modern 'burb fairy tale.

Easy to critique because of its pacing issues and meandering script, but the child acting is excellent for such a low budget film and it's mostly the adults who seem to be phoning it it with the exceptions of Hussey and Howard. Clint strikes a good balance between creepy and sympathetic. What's surprisingly good are the SFX, with three life like dismembered heads that are better than even some Hollywood productions. The score is completely out of place however and really hurts the film.

Starring David Warner, Lee Majors II, Jan-Michael Vincent, Sandahl Bergman and in the lead role: Clint Howard. How could one go wrong?

I swear the sound designer just saw all the child actors and thought this must be a kids movie, nothing else could explain the constant slide whistles and twee chimes. Honestly, most of the film really is presented like a kids movie, yet it's rated R and obviously not aimed at children. What a mess. Beyond doing nothing right in any other element, the entire audible experience of this movie is dreadful. This is the worst soundtrack to a horror film I've heard in quite some time.

O Sorveteiro estreava há 25 anos nas videolocadoras americanas. O bom é que vi isso depois do ultra-depressivo The Plague Dogs, o mal é que ele nem parece um terrir, mas uma aventura da sessão da tarde que deu errado. BlurayRip RARBG.

Just a weirdly off putting movie. Probably has a lot to do with the performance of Clint Howard. His whole look is just perfect. A deranged pseudo-fable. Honestly kinda shot like a twin peaks sorta thing. I dunno just a lot of fun as well. Good gore

I'd say this could have been the greatest film of all time if it wasn't for everything that happened.
