Has that good 70's weird feel

Fim de semana em honra de Peter Fonda (1940 - 2019) filme #1. Apesar de ser uma distopia bem interessante, o filme acaba sendo decepcionante tendo em vista que o filme anterior e primeiro que Fonda dirigiu tinha sido o excelente The Hired Hand, este acaba alternando péssimos momentos (tirar as caças para viajar no tempo, really?) com outros ótimos (a mítica sequência final), mas de modo geral é um bom filme. The young and intelligent embrace the post-apocalypse. Primitivism, both in its politics and in the natural simplicity it comes by honestly, that any "production value" would ruin. Even its pace is better described as nonchalant or unforced than deliberately slow. Strange, stilted dialogue with delivery to match, bringing to mind its contemporary Phase IV, or maybe Cosmopolis. Cool music. Great ending. The derelict, public-domain quality of the home video version just adds to the mystique.
