Idiot Box

Mendelsohn and Sims are suitably unhinged in what is a mostly well made film with a solid storyline that has that very specific feel of a 90s Aussie film.

Good to see a film with characters I can relate to, though it makes me think that they also made this film since it's got quite an annoying '90s-style music-video aesthetic and the story passes by with not much substance or seriousness, but it's not like the film is a hoot. A fairly decent effort that tries too hard in the wrong areas, though if my friends had made it I would've been impressed.

Not blockbuster material, but highly entertaining anyway.
