Remake of Thanks a Million (1935). A smooth looking production at that with a lot of personality involved. Sadly the lead guy lacked just that. Personality. Not surprising considering he was a musical novelty put on screen and not the pro actor needed to get an emotional effect. However that guy was Perry Como, but most known as a super popular recording artist. Things work a little different in film and he never looked comfortable. Thankfully the rest were in the mood to jive it up.
