Wow, the script is TERRIBLE, it's just so unfunny, half-assed and cliche like it was written in an hour without revision. In general whole film feels like a cheap excuse to show few landscapes and monuments around the Europe. But it works neither as a comedy nor as a travel video. Avoid.

"You'd defy your father? You know how groovy that is?" Mid-century travel porn with a dismissive eye-roll to 60s counter-culture (maybe that was just me). Boring but not unpleasant collection of vignettes with requisite satirical pokes at the American tourist. Ian Mcshane makes a fine tour guide and there are plenty of likable performances but best in show is the Patricia Routledge cameo.

Very episodic film. Its funny but is obviously disjointed as all the characters go off to get into their own situations. Best part of the movie was the creepy thief man...and his after credits gag.
