Although the characters and environments are well designed the whole production lacks the soul seen in many of the more mainstream productions, something which makes the film considerably more difficult to appreciate. With some decent voice acting the main characters are good enough, but the attempts at some more heartfelt elements generally fall flat. Beyond the obvious, it's sad to see that there's nothing more to notice and the film provides a shallow viewing experience. Not really that good.

Eh, overrated. I didn't like it much but it wasn't all that bad. Just your average low budget animated kids film really. Grade: C-

Weak children's fare with little flare, wit or invention beyond the cliches. Dull script phoned in by the jobbing cast.

A heartwarming animated feature with great voice-acting from Cusack.

mmm, really not sure who this was aimed at.....certainly a little dark for young children (suicidal rabbit???), yet not really "adult" enough for me. Tried hard to mine the seam done so well by Tim Burton (Nightmare before xmas, corpse bride), but for me, failed miserably. The animation was, of course, stunning, but I suppose we have come to expect that these days...........Overall, very disappointing

Very cute. Loved the blind orphans at the end singing "I can see clearly now ... "

I quite liked this. It's not really a kid's film, but rather a simple story. Izzard is a wonderful comedian and it shows in everything he does.

Twisted kids movie in which a clever hunchback in service to an evil scientist takes his dead masters' place in the annual evil science fair, but his invention doesn't turn out as evil as he hoped. Surprisingly dark stuff (jokes about murder and torture), and some of the characters are clearly modeled after critters in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Good times for older kids with lots of funny jokes and a great voice cast...Steve Buscemi playing a suicidal bunny rabbit is particularly awesome.

in the past five years weve come to a point where cgi is cheap enough so they can afford to make comuter animated movies that arent great, this is one. it's good but not great, an interesting story, but nothing you'd be amazed by.

Mistake - When Eva is being brainwashed, her car is numbered '12.' During the brainwash she doesn't move from her seat, but when the brainwash is over, she comes out of a car numbered '03.'

Cuter than I expected. The sidekicks are the best part (c'mon, you can't go wrong with Steve Bucemi and Sean Hayes). If you have kids, feel free to give it a try.

"Director Anthony Leondis peppers his tale with a host of leaden cinematic references children will almost surely miss, which is just as well since virtually every film-related gag directed at adults feels like a pitiful attempt at knowing cleverness." - Nick Schager

some dark humour here, many little things that would probably be picked up on a second watch

Dreadful. Really surprisingly bad considering I had high hopes! Only made it half way through, and I hardly ever turn a film off before the end! Great cast, dreadful script.

Igor isn't worth your trip. Should entertain the little tikes, but I found it to be as pointless as a lot of other animated movies.

It's not only one of the most uncharming animation features ever, it's also extremely ugly.
