Nothing special here and I don't know why they call it neorealist. It resembles many sad movies in Turkish cinema, or maybe reverse is true. However, it's a treasure for history. After the decline of Ottoman Empire, a lot of Lebanese people emigrated to South America. Watching their hopeless story told after 100-150 years, seeing how Lebanon looked like 64 years ago was a great experience.
