A charming family movie. It’s lacking the depth of what real adult life entails, as it’s made for children, but a sweet reminder for parents to reprioritize their parenting and career focuses. Eddie Murphy’s role as the father gets a little suspended from reality when he finds his way fully to his daughter’s imaginative play world and doesn’t care what a fool he makes of himself to other adults and at his workplace. The underlying message of the movie is sweet if you can suspend reality.

Crap film but makes me wish real bankers systems were only as irrational as this one.

Whilst only ever representing itself as a cute little movie this flick has very few redeeming qualities. If you want to see just the funny bits I highly recommend the trailer, otherwise you may find yourself asking for your time back if you are over the age of 8 years old.

"In its minimalism that borders on self-parody, Imagine That is reminiscent of M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening." - Ryan Stewart

Investment advice from the mouth of a seven-year-old babe, relaying tips from invisible friends beneath a security blanket. Murphy, as the profiting father who learns to value his daughter for more than money, seems often foolish, occasionally peevish, never actually funny.

With little negative content but some magical elements, this is a heartwarming, funny movie showing the love that can grow between a father and a daughter.
