Shatner gets to be the star in a scuzzy, semi-exploitation filmed in Florida by Bill Grefe riffed from Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt. In a Q&A I went to, Shatner said he saved Oddjob actor Harold Sakata from being accidentally hanged during filming and permanently broke his own pinky finger in the process. I’m not saying that’s supposed to make the film better - but it kind of does, doesn’t it?

A wonderfully unhinged turn from Shatner elevates this well paced low budget thriller. Aside from Shatner and his next level wardrobe there's a car wash scene that broke the theater and a separate car crash that elicited an audible WOW from yours truly. It may be only one five movies called Impulse on this site, but it's the one you should see.
