Starts as a regular crime movie, mixes this with some twisted comedy and gets more over the top as it goes along. At some points you don't know whether to laugh or to be slightly disturbed. The ending was too chaotic and frivolous though.

I treasured this in high school, and I had a sinking feeling that returning to it would be an uncomfortable experience. However, it turned out that, although it has its rough patches to be sure, I actually still like it a lot. I'd go so far as to call it one of the funniest Danish films of all time. (Make of that what you will.)

Each step of the plot gets more ridiculous as the brothers try to better there situation only to keep fucking it up. The frame-story gets aggravating until its pay off at the very end of the film (which is also... ridiculous). One of those funny, inept criminals keep fucking things up for themselves movies. You can't take it too seriously, as it obviously doesn't itself. ... Poor, poor Vuk.

I laughed a couple of times, but that is it. In my opinion, what really didn't work is the directing - the story, though being ridiculous, is kind of amusing and could even work.

The second one is actually quite a bit funnier IIRC, still, a good time.

Back in the day this used to be the epitome of cool, but this too is true of the concept of ninja turtles. While the humor is consistently dark and it's gay-bashing as wrong as any Rambo sequel, it's never really engaging, and the ending is quite frankly retarded.

A strange, sometimes uneasy mix of violent crime action, dark comedy and slapstick. It's very un-PC, but I guess most gangsters are. Entertaining.

The Danish Lock, Stock isn't quite as successful as the British version, but still pretty good.

A neurotic dark comedy riddled with sentiment change of narrative, characters and mood. Character progression is silly but in that unnatural way, but story progression is great if taken as it should be - silly. Also, Vuk is great and I loved every second of him. Climax is slightly disappointing, ending is interesting.

Hasn't aged well but I can't even imagine it was ever good anyway. I hated the camerawork with a passion.
