Might not be a prestige picture, but it's a barrel of fun! A key picture for director William C. McGann, getting to use John Wayne as a pill peddler out in the old west! The babes swarm him. A lady and a showgirl. Oh, and a skunk of a rival which gets him into heated fights all the time! And one can't forget Edgar Kennedy and his shotgun wedded wife Patsy Kelly causing a lot of havoc! Not classed as one of Wayne's best roles, you see his prototype macho man in this whoopee western.
