The Weavers play sharecroppers. They confront their landlord with their tale of woe only to find he is in money trouble too. He also has a wastrel son and a socialite wife who wants a divorce. He begs the Weavers to trade places with him and fix things up. (imdb)

The lowbrow rural comedy of the Weaver family as hillbilly's invade the life of rich folks. Sounds like a familiar theme doesn't it? Not too far off what The Beverly Hillbillies (1962-1971) TV-show offered a few decades later. Loud, slightly annoying and not at all refined and with a plot all over the place! But I'm not a snob, or not that much of a snob that I can't enjoy some silly mayhem in a mansion!
