In the Fade

One part serious study of grief, one part courtroom TV movie, and one part implausible Taken.

The plot depends on lots of coincidences and that can get quite annoying, but this nonetheless leaves an impression and is anchored by a well executed, insightful performance by Kruger.

There is no need the information at the end of the film. It doesn't give power, taking it.

Determinism as a way to comment on immigration crisis, terrorism and xenophonia in Europe. Almost completely uninteresting and lazy take on these topics nearly save by Kruger's invested performance. It's bad even as a raw revenge story -- trial absolves the neonazis, she goes after them, first decides to not set the bomb off, then kills herself with them in the trailer. Akin's vapid direction doesn't take the film anywhere.

I was expecting a more edgy movie from Fatih Akın. Nevertheless it's a solid drama with great performance by Kruger.

Stunning.

The movie loses connection at the times but overall good critique of modern-day Germany.

The story of From nothing was executed too much from nothing. Lots of emotions in the air but almost nothing on screen. Was the message of the film really the best possible? I don't think so.

KRUGEER, SUCH STRICT AND BORING SYMBOLISMM. BUT HAS ONE OF THE MOST ANNOYING TRIAL SCENE

Without Kruger this would be ... well, just bad.

Such realistic description of the first days of Kruger’s lost. Despite the permanent great acting following parts were kind of dull and quite foreseeable

first worldwide hit (thanks to kruger) by fatih akin. if you're cooperating with a big distribution company, you can have this much independent. actually, akin is more than that. yet this film has some qualities like color palettes, taste of music and directing skills. i really liked the first part of the story because of high dose drama. the ending could have been more powerful if it had stability. however, it's acceptable with this version. kruger was spectacular, she deserves her reputation.

Hatta en iyi filmi. Filmin temposu da hiç düşmüyor. Sanki çok heyecanlı 1 kitabın sayfalarını çeviriyoruz. Filmin sonunda, şok edici. Her kimsen yanlış kadına çattın.

Diane Kruger'ın başarılı oyunculuğu filme damga vuruyor. Yönetmen, diyalektiğin faşizm üzerindeki yansımasını ve burjuva hukuk düzeninin adaletsizliğini gözler önüne seriyor. Faşizmin, örgütsüz kişiler üzerindeki etkisini ve 'adalete' duyulan güvensizliği bireysel eylem biçimlerine yönelmeyle sonuçlanacağını, konuyu dramatize etmeden izleyiciye sunuyor. Umutsuzluğun ve kaybetmenin kabulunün reddedilmesi, filmi başarılı kılan en önemli detaylardan.

Fatih Akın eşini dostunu mu oynatıyor bilmiyorum ama türk oyuncu performansı konusunda ciddi problemleri var. Türk oyuncuların olduğu 1. bölüm zaten genel olarak vasat. Neyse ki film 2. ve 3. bölümlerde toparlıyor ve yer yer gözümüze soka soka yapsa da derdini iyi anlatıyor. Diane Kruger müthiş oynamış.
