Continuing a trend of high production quality, low actual quality Netflix produced movies is basically an evil version of "Field of Dreams", which was probably a lot better on paper than it is in reality. My appreciation for this would have been instantly bolstered with one less dog death and twenty more human deaths.

A not very subtle allegory of American society wrapped up in far too much BECKY! CAL! BECKY! CAL! TOBIN! CAL! BECKY! TRAVIS! BECKY! TOBIN! BECKY! Could have made a really neat half-hour Twilight Zone episode.

A great concept that would have made for a pretty good Tales From the Crypt episode. At over 90 minutes this just made me want to mow my lawn.

A lot of yelling of other people's names, a lot of people being in the grass. Ends up feeling so very boring with zero thrills. The concept of time loop was nice, but this movie just did not make it work. Better left off as a short story instead of a movie. Also, moving grass is not spooky unless there are velociraptors in it.

I found myself being confused more than I should've been. They don't really explain anything. I have so many unanswered questions. Some of the dialogue was iffy. Most of the acting is forgettable with the exception of Patrick Wilson. None of the shots with CGI looked good. It was noticeably bad. I thought the lead actress was ok as well. I haven't read the short story, but I know that they added quite a bit to make it feature length. I guess go watch this if you want to.

I absolutely LOVED the psychological wear-down of our host of different characters that kept going in endless circles. There's muted beauty in this film until that goddamn rock and the hay cult (you'll get it once you get there). It killed the mood for me. It was like a really great steak dinner date until one of you farts.

There once was this author in Derry-----Who wrote books in the 80's that were scary-----He thought it'd be fun, to work with his son----But the shit they turned out was just dreary!

Has some overlap with Triangle but is ultimately less effective. Too much screaming. Didn't the kid touch the rock?

Takes some strange turns, but overall a better than average horror/thriller.

If ever there was a movie that felt like it was made by committee, this would be it. It uses cheap visual gimmicks and basic jump scares to tell...I'm not sure what. It was like they couldn't quite figure out what they were going for, switching gears and changing movies so that none of it was developed beyond the point of being mediocre.

There are films that go for a more acedemic length in storyline and event, and so it would be prudent to judge them in that context, But this one is not even intended to be viewed in that way, this is purposefully an exploration of an idea, rather than an on the whole tale, so common complaints of tropes and how precise the narrative is is not really neccisary. For what it is, it is a good attempt at it. Entertaining enough, not too heady. Enjoy.

Seems like the screenplay was tweaked to try and disguise that this has a strong "pro-life" aspect to it. Less disguised is that this is a kind of religious allegory preoccupied with sinners (those who are tempted into making "wrong turns") destined to be lost or caught in a loop. That the infinite magical power at the heart of it seems to expose (and judge) the true character of each individual with whom it comes into contact makes it feel kind of STALKERish-lite. But, overall, not ineffective.

Interesting concept that can't carry it to the finish -- begins to spin it's wheels 1/3 of the way in. And by the end it goes full on Stephen King with his propensity for outta left field endings. It's one of those stories where the initial idea is cool but the writers didn't have a satisfactory through line from there to the finish line. All idea, no story.

What a mind fuck. And I think that's all it is. Doesn't carry too much weight, and with sub par acting, it's not great.

A fun twisty little, collapsing-timeline, horror movie. Some good acting, really great cinematography (way to make a field of grass terrifying!), plot doesn't feel quite tight enough, but it works. (Too much hinting at great revelations, not as much follow through.) But it's still still unsetting, well made and fun. Not the best mind-twist horror movie ever, but totally worth it's 90 minutes.

Movie was meh. The first half had me wrapped up trying to figure it out, last half was slow and hard to get through. I liked the ending, but wouldn't bother rewatching. Just one giant mind F**K and a message mediocrely presented. It doesn't feel like it explains much, and by the end of the movie I still don't know what the hell I just watched.

It's ok, Wilson is always reliable and the cinematography is pretty good. BUT, it's a 90 minutes movie about people in tall grass and despite not getting really boring it is what it is. It also doesn't revolutionize anything or even tries to explain what's happening, but it's one of the better things on Netflix. Watchable but forgettable.

I understand it's based on a novella, and thus one shouldn't expect too much as far as story and character development, but this one was just a bore. Some of the characters one wonders why they are even mentioned, while the ones that do have value seem superficial. There could be more to the story, but this just didn't feel worth the time.

This began as a novella. Novellas and short stories have a very specific pace that really only works for a shorter medium, stretching it to a full-length film means adding things in here and there, and the outcome is rather repetitive and dare I say self-indulgent. It should've been shorter, like a short film or even an episode of the new Creepshow show on Shudder.
