Inquisition

Surprisingly great. Its complex theological concerns are well-grounded in a lived reality - a reality made tangible, no doubt, because of the shadow of another great Inquisition: Franco's Spain. The violence is salacious because it's not gratuitous, a rarity in the gorehound subgenre.

Probably one of the better Naschy efforts I've sat though. Feels tame, and slightly amateurish, compared to Mark of the Devil, or Witchfinder General, but there's enough going on here to make it worth a look. Lurid and enjoyable hokum.

This slow paced Occult horror film boasts tons of nudity, a few scenes of pure sleaze, an interesting soundtrack and lots of mood and atmosphere. This movie is everything people that never watch occult films believe all witchcraft/satanic horror are.

Aprecio muito o potencial niilista dos filmes do Jacinto Molina, eles dão um sabor a mais no horror, aqui pegando muito a cauda da ditadura franquista. DVD Versátil Caça às Bruxas.
