One of those movies that's impossible to rate cause I'm sure its annoying if you are sober or hate Daft Punk. It's good for what it is.

I thought I was in for something really crappy, given how little I hear about this movie, weighed against how popular Daft Punk are... But it really exceeded expectations. The animation's not bad, and although it's devoid of dialogue, it still has a compelling story. Even the concept is pretty unique, and it made me wish there were more movies that are essentially album-length music videos. I know some people aren't a fan of 80s/90s-style anime, but it's almost nostalgic to me.

Synch with songs is tasteful, yet I don't like the particular 80ies style anime.

It's a great concept, and really fun to watch. The only way I can see someone disliking this is if they really really hated Daft Punk.

I love this movie, but I'm a little biased. Who could hate a movie directed by their favourite anime director set to their favourite album?

This one is so brilliant couldn't believe my eyes, and ears. Daft Punk's style goes Animation...what a concept. Daft Punk call it : House Musical...and that's exactly what it is. Not any spoken word...radiant colors underscore the bass beating sounds by one of the most creative Music Projects of our time. I fell in love with that one from the first second.

Been meaning to watch this for the longest time.. It is what it is; a psychedelic anime/sci-fi musical with pretty much nothing on the soundtrack whatsoever but Daft Punk music. Reading that you'll probably know whether or not you'll like it already. I knew the moment I heard of this that I'd enjoy it, and sure enough it delivered more than I expected. Loved it.

As a massive Daft Punk fan, this is a lot of fun. One of my problems with it is that, given its nature, some of the songs can turn into drawn-out montages, but as long as you can enjoy the music, it never gets painful to sit through. The story is simple but very effective. A couple of cute touches, too. It's a little heavy-handed, sure, but it is a feature-length anime music video. It's awesome.

The plot is pure nonsense and doesn't make any sense what-so-ever, but the superb music and awesome visuals make for a great listening and viewing experience. The story is engaging and the music fits perfectly with the image. It's certainly a project that will split audiences, and is not for anyone.

My favorite thing in the world is quirky sci-fi with strong visuals, and I tend to go pretty easy on it. Even if the animation is sub-par and it often feels chained to the soundtrack instead of working with it, it's a 65 minute story about blue aliens doing things to Daft Punk, and I don't feel like being a spoil sport.

The animation isn't my cup of tea(seriously, the only anime I like is Akira) but the album is one of my favorites. The story is pretty throwaway and coupled with disappointing animation I have to give all my points to the music.

It really felt like more of a feature length equivalent of a Youtube anime music video. Had the video actually been more in sync with the music, it would have been much better. As it is, it seems like they merely animated a movie and tacked the soundtrack on as an afterthought. It would also have helped if I actually liked Daft Punk. I'd say it's worth watching if you're a fan, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.

Silly mildly enjoyable stuff. I don't even know why I'm bothering to rate this feature-length music video along with all of my stuff. I like Daft Punk, and I like sci-fi animes, but I don't see any compelling reason for them to be mixed together.

Just a really solid film. I just enjoy things that do a great job of expressing emotions without words. That plus Daft Punk...there is no downside.

Like some smart person somewhere said: "Harder, better, faster, stronger [than Galaxy Espress 999]." (GE999 is more famous but really overrated work by the guy who made character designs of Interstella.)

It's only an overlong (anime) music video. I like the Discovery album, and animations are nice too, but objectively is not a great piece of art: music and animations never seem really merged together.

The greatest Daft Punk album as an animated movie? Yeah, this was fucking awesome. Your enjoyment will be directly proportional to how much you like Daft Punk and anime.

soundtrack is awesome and the animated aesthetics are consistently psychedelic and beautiful, invoking classic anime films. the major failure of this film is that it is essentially a string of barely intertwined music videos

What's not to love? All the Daft Punk fabulousness that you can handle, plus more! (if you ever wondered what the hell those blue people in their music videos were all about this won't explain it, but might give some satisfying context).

This was not shown in local movies, so i bought a dvd. Daft Punk does great music and watching their music videos in the format of full movie is quite something. Drawings are good but the plot weak what was expected even.

Just an hour long Anime FMV played with Daft Punk music. Story was nothing special and some characters looked like Smurfs for no reason. If Daft Punk wasn't here it would have been far less tolerable to sit through this. Animation was average Anime stuff. I'll probably forget this film by next week. Overall mediocre at best.

I'm glad this strange thing exists. If I die a hero's death, I too want the chill groove of Daft Punk's "Voyager" to be the soundtrack of my burial.
