Into the White

Into the White is a fascinating WWII story delivered with heart felt acting. The filming is done on what appears to be a very tight budget, but it is done right. The story is warm and positive, but by the end you may genuinely miss the characters. There needs to be more films like this that show the different multitudes of stories that came out of the biggest war of human history.

Testament to the rule that a mediocre script inevitably leads to a mediocre film. Those characters, those lines! The Brits are so goddamn awful that it really takes some Panzer Patient Germans not to shoot them after 15 minutes of interaction. The rest is in mix cliche, ridiculous and boring.

Liked it. A different war movie.

I found this film really fascinating, mainly as its based on a true story. The forced camerarderie is intriguing, including seeing how each characters personality comes across. There are some amusing moments and some suitably poignant ones. Its a good thoughtful drama. Not much in the way of active action scenes, its perhaps more like a low key play sort of a set up but I didn't feel bored while watching it, it really intrigued me and I thought the cast did a great job, so I'd recommend this.

War drama with not much action but a lot of depth. R. Grint proved he's also good at something not involving magic. And the rest of the cast was superb. I can't do anything less but to recommend it.

A well-developed drama, restricted by means of physical space yet harbours many sides of the misery of human soul in times of war.

Bland, dull & trite script populated with stock characters

Nice little drama. I wish there was some kind of follow up in the credits with pictures or something.

Simple-minded but sympathic nonetheless. Watch the superior 'A Midnight Clear' instead.
