There's a collection of pretty shots and interesting concepts that never go anywhere. The director went a bit overboard with the style without much substance.

Quite similar to Last Life in the Universe (it even stars Tadanobu Asano) but doesn't leave as much of an impression. I couldn't help feeling like I'd seen this before, not just from Ratanaruang, but also elements of Kitano and others. Besides the drab cinematography however, it was decent. I just wish Ratanaruang would do something as exciting as 6ixtynin9 again. I think he's concentrating too much on these mood pieces, which doesn't seem to be his strength.
