The fight choreography was good, as has always been the case through this series, and it was fun seeing a decent Bruce Lee representation on screen. It was hard to buy into the story, though; it was punctuated with some genuinely bizarre scenes and characters - the initial meeting with the masters was farcical, and the "baddies" were largely ludicrous. It didn't help that I saw a dubbed version...the use of British regional accents for Chinese folk was a bit jarring. I do like Yen, though...

Ip Man vs The Karens.Like, ok, this series is the Chinese answer to all our Hoo-rah he-man real American heroes and up until now, I've said fairs fair. But Ip Man 4 tips the balance too far, every scene of dialogue is evil white folks trying to put down long-suffering Chinese people -- to extremely ridiculous, exhausting lengths.

Not the best in the series, and not even the best fighting, but even the WORST of the series is better than most martial arts films. That should tell you something. Also, the one Bruce Lee fight scene....man that brought me back and put a huge smile on my face. This is a great closing chapter, but DANG the Americans are terrible actors here.

Probably the most satisfying Kung fu franchise ever. Since the films have to function as hagiographies about a man who allegedly only ever fought as a last resort, each one has to figure out how to organically shoehorn in multiple fight scenes into stories that need to also take place in a recognizable real world of human drama. Sometimes (Esp here) this results in a lot of over-the-top bullies, but it mostly gives you characters to care about when they're not expertly punching each other.

This is another enjoyable chapter in the Ip man series. Donnie Yen gives another excellent performance. There are a number of good and exciting fight scenes. Overall I would recommend this movie.

A big step down from the previous films in all regards. Still plenty of enjoyable moments, and both Scott Adkins and Vanda Margraf are great. As usual, the English-language actors (other than Adkins) suck hardcore ass but this time there's way more of them to muddy things up. The writing is far weaker in this conclusion with many of the plot beats being shallow retreads of moments from the previous films. Even the cinematography looks ugly this time outside of the fight scenes. Less rewatchable

Highly satisfying conclusion to the series.

Rides Bruce Lee's coattails again, but that's forgivable. It's still extremely cheesy, embarrassingly awful writing, with a sharp good guy / bad guy divide running through every subplot, a completely by-the-book hierarchy of power, and the overly choreographed fights that Wilson Yip has grown to fully rely on.

The acting is so bad but the fighting is so darn good

This is a decent enough action scene but a step down from the previous entry. Mainly the English actors aren't good and everything from the sets to the direction just feels like cheap TV. The anti-white rhetoric was pretty heavy-handed but not all that much more than say the Russians in '80s American action films because it's too over the top to take seriously.

Donnie Yen yine çok iyi ama batılılığı karate ile sembolize etmek akıl alır gibi değil

The famous Kung Fu master Ip Man (Donnie Yen) travels to the United States. This is because his pupil Bruce Lee opened a Wing Chun school there in Seattle. This turns out to be quite a challenge when he insults the locals. Yip Man will help Lee and try to lay the foundation for Kung Fu in America.

It feels not as good in plot and set design as the previous movies, and the fact they added more evil characters with what actors they could find makes one even more aware of the bad acting and cheesy lines. Still some good fights, but the Sharknado level of acting at times can be distracting.

Hayyyyiiiiiiyyyaaaa Kodum mu oturturum.
