Ironmaster

If this movie lived up to its poster, it would be the greatest thing ever. Apparently gyms and hair salons predate the invention of iron. Come to think of it, this movie is about a caveMAN who discovers IRON, so what could we call him? Hmm...

A tribe of stone age cavemen figure out how to make iron swords, and immediately begin subjugating the other primitive tribes in the valley. So, a caveman finds a lump of metal after a volcanic eruption, and somehow intuits the process of smelting iron and crafting swords (don't ask where they get the metal tools to work the forge)? Suuuure. Unbelievably dumb and cheesy, but it's still strangely entertaining to watch George Eastman rampaging around like a madman wearing a severed lion's head.

Super low production value ruins any chance this had to be even partially good.

Goofy but fun. There are much worse movies

This movie about prehistoric barbarians discovering iron weapons is pretty lackluster, never living up to its poster art and premise as an entertaining fantasy. It has a few amusing fight, Lenzi always knows how to shoot action. But large parts drag. Biggest problem is that it's neither a historic or a pure fantasy movie. Absolute best thing about it is the hypnotic score featuring a male choir.

Actually not as bad as I expected. There's a fair amount of effort put into this in places where I didn't really expect it. Hardly great, but somewhat entertaining.
