It Ends With Us

I had a hard time getting into it for most of this film, but the way it got the main point of it across was so well done that I left fairly satisfied anyway.

Smooth and tacky, but I found the finale important and rather rock’n’roll.

It blossoms with compelling storytelling and nuanced character arcs, gracefully navigating the thorny issues of domestic violence and trauma. It offers a thoughtful character study of those who have endured such harrowing experiences. But the casting and costume design wilt under scrutiny, missing some of the vibrancy that fans of the novel might expect. Despite not fully blooming into its potential, the film still delivers a bouquet of empowering moments, making it a must-watch, esp. for women.

It has something to say about cycles of abuse. The packaging is pretty stale tho, even if the acting is generally good.

I thought this was exceptionally well done. Great story, well acted. They did a great job masking the abuse to make the watcher question what was happening. Well worth going to the cinema for.
