It's a Summer Film!

Based on the premise I was hoping this would channel a little more Eizouken energy, but I think it's worth watching for high school movie fans. I was a bit skeptical about the inclusion of certain plot elements (people who have seen this will know), but I think they mostly paid off by the end.

I was loving this movie until the ending where it kind of tanked for me. The movie takes a little while to get going but once it does it's a fast-paced ride.

Starts well but it all falls apart with the introduction of the male lead, the reason for his presence didn't bear scrutiny and this, the main movie in this movie within a movie production, fell to very amateur values, I'll somewhat echo Greener's review here - 'To be honest, the movie (from then on) felt very amateur... dreadful - even more so than the movies that these teenagers are making - and I am not sure as to if this is intentional or not.'

It was a cute movie about filmmaking, but ultimately I could not bear its cringeworthy lines and acting, which are very common in Japanese teen movies.
