I'll watch the shit out of this movie. Amazing guilty pleasure. Rose McGowan is the perfect pack-leader for a herd of high school she-bitches, and Fern Mayo owns, hard. The color pallet is awesomely late 90s.

Raw, visceral. This movie hits with the stunning realism of a documentary.

This is a bizarre film. I am not sure what I was expecting. This has shades of John Waters, even if it never rises to that level. There is enough campy fun to be had, though.

Fun, empty, slickly made Heathers rip-off with a pretty shallow script but Rose McGowan makes such a hot, evil bitch that you barely notice. Shut your brain off and enjoy the sociopathic eye candy.

Jawbreaker isn't a great film, but it is a funny dark comedy with an intense leading performance that will probably make you laugh for most of the time it plays. Plot and characters aren't terribly important; it's all about the social criticism and watching Rose McGowan chew through absolutely everyone with whom she shares the screen. It's a film that's a lot like its title: It can be absolutely worthwhile, but has the potential to be a waste of your time if it's not your kind of thing.

Thinking back on this movie, I'm actually pretty angry at myself for sitting through it. Proof positive that actresses (term used loosely) like Rose McGowan and Rebecca Gayheart have the acting skills needed for print ads and nothing more.

Oodles of vibrant Mean Girlsian camp and some excellent chunks of twisted dialogue especially from McGowan, but treads too lightly in its joyously dark implications and winds up a ho-hum teen comedy with bite much weaker than bark. Ending is hilarious tho. Shoutout the Donnas.

Despite Rose McGowan's oozing hotness, this lazy, limp Heathers wannabe is perhaps one of the worst teen movies out there. Just don't bother. I like teen movies as much as anyone, and I'm promising you it's not worth it.

I saw this when I was really young and I only vaguely remembered it, but then I saw it again last year and it's fabulous.

A less funny and polished version of Heathers but still decent.

To me it just screamed cheap marketing - there were several sex scenes and that was the height of its appeal to be honest.

So is this oddly disjointed voyage a music video? Undoubtedly Rose is hot & frequently the gals are well dressed but what's with all the giant faces spitting what sounds like lines? The camera work seems a shade clever & special too, so by the time we get to the moral or the good kids I'm wondering why bother.

I remember just focusing largely on Rebecca Gayheart's popping eyes and witch face. Man o' man is that broad homely. Anywho, I don't really remember much of this movie, other than some of the songs and how awful the clothing was. ::shrugs::

A blend of House on Sorority Row, Heathers & Carrie that honestly feels a lot less like the latter than it's possibly trying to, it's still not nearly as bad as some people say it is & features a pretty stacked cast of genre vets. McGowan, Gayheart, Greer, Grier (fun coincidence), Kane, & even Marilyn Manson in a blink-&-you'll-miss-it cameo all make this more worth watching than it should be, but the script isn't half bad either. It doesn't always stick the landing, but it's worth a look.

It wants to be Election, it wishes it was Mean Girls. It's fine on its own terms though, despite some bizarre tonal twists - this is teen comedy at its blackest, laced with death, cynicism and candy-coloured psychopathy.

Shows you how hard it is to replicate Heathers or even Clueless. The jokes fall flat, dialogue is not witty, and the tone is off - some scenes are quite disturbing and others so naive that it feels like you're watching an episode of Beverly Hills 90210. Pam Grier is wasted in her small part, and some actors - like Julie Benz - were really bad; and I liked her in Dexter. McGowan fits her part though.

It isn't slick, it isn't as good as Heathers, and it is pretty awful.
