A tender love story. Courtship seems too juvenile nowadays, but the sex scene means it's not kid-friendly. Nice to see the romance develop from attraction, but they are frustratingly slow at times. Is awkward Jewish kid protagonist an overdone trope? Contemporary NYC streets. Remember the pre-Internet days when someone moving away meant you're never ever going to see them again? Nostalgic music. Fav scene: going to the movies and then having to wait in line.

With movies like this, I'm not surprised Robby Benson's career never went anywhere.
