Jesse James as the Outlaw is definitely the more exciting of the two Jesse James films of 1921. This is where he is an outlaw and all the robbing & shooting happens. But it's very uneven film making with the only real selling point being that it's Jesse James' own son playing the so-called Robin Hood outlaw. And since it's the James family version of history, Jesse James was a honest, loving and lawful man....
